I've thrown together some heraldic devices for Inner Star School of Magic, based on the colors that have been suggested and the pets that were in their original collections--except Merriman House gets Penny, of course! I used a sleeping bear in place of Samantha's teddy bear.
Merriman:
Montoya:
Josefina gets two shades of red to match both her meet outfits!
Larson:
Walker:
(The top part of the shield is white.)
Parkington:

Innerstar School of Magic: New Students
Back row, L-R: Indira Chandrasekar, Sophia Zhang, Electra Tomlinson
Front row, L-R: Tabitha Crow, Lilias Gordon, Maria de la Luz de San Geronimo
Indi belongs to Parkington house, probably because she loves the spotlight; she especially loves singing and dancing. Combining those with magic is a dream come true.
Sophia placed into Montoya house, she's generally studious with a talent for chemistry (and baking). She's afraid of heights, though, and does not look forward to learning to fly.
Electra, dubbed Ellie by her new schoolmates, is the kind of girl who wants to know everything about everything, which makes her an ideal Walker house student. She's more familiar with the library than sports fields, partially due to her nearsightedness and partial deafness, and partially because her mother is a librarian.
Tabitha's dreams literally came true when she was accepted into McIntire house. She always wanted to learn to teleport, and can't wait for broom-riding lessons to begin. Writing and social studies? Not so much.
Lily doesn't consider herself particularly American - she spent the first 7 years of her life in Scotland, but was thrilled when she learned she was going to be a part of Merriman house. She tries to live up to the bravery of her literary heroines, like Lucy Pevensie and Sara Crewe.
It's a good thing Mari-Luz placed into Larson house. She loves traipsing around outdoors and finds places like the library and classroom to be stuffy and boring. There's a good possibility she'll wear out her rain boots before the end of the first semester.

The Acceptance Letter: Lilias
It was a lazy afternoon in mid-August and Lilias was home alone. Her mother had gone grocery shopping and her father was at work. The boredom was crushing. They didn’t have Netflix or anything, her dumb phone had no games, and she wasn’t allowed to use the computer because there was “sensitive data” on it. Even most of her toys and books were inaccessible because they were moving soon, and her parents were the type to pack everything up as soon as possible. They could have moved a week ago, if the moving company hired by her father’s firm had been ready.
Lily slid off the couch and sprawled out on the carpet as best she could, surrounded by moving boxes. She tried to hypnotize herself by staring at the slowly moving ceiling fan but failed. At last, she sighed and headed to the kitchen. She could grab a Coke, re-read The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and pretend her closet lead into a secret world where magic was real. She trailed her fingertips along the surface of the pristine, empty dining table as she passed it. Mum kept everything spotless.
As she closed the refrigerator door, Lilias noticed the box. The box, on the table which had previously been completely empty. “Mum?” she called out. There was no answer. Not home with the mail then. She was sure she hadn’t heard anyone come in, but somehow this box had simply appeared. Lily shivered a little. It was exciting and scary, and she wasn’t sure she liked this mystery. She could go outside and wait on the porch for her mother to come home. It might be an hour, but she wouldn’t be stuck in the house with a box from nowhere.
But what if…well, Lucy Pevensie didn’t turn around and go back home as soon as the first strange thing happened to her. Lilias stepped towards the table, watching the box as if it might jump up and fly away. “Lilias Joan Gordon, from Innerstar School of Magic,” she read. Her heart pounded. She reached out a cautious hand, which trembled just a little. The box practically sprang open at her touch. Inside were some dark blue and green clothes, a thick packet addressed to “the parents of Miss Lilias J. Gordon,” and a letter with her name on it. She read the letter quickly, and then again, and looked up, stunned. To her shock, there was a teenage girl with long red hair standing at the picture window, looking in. She grinned at Lily and disappeared. Lilias fainted.

Innerstar School of Magic, Letter to Parents
August 1, 2023
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are pleased to welcome your child to the Innerstar School of Magic, the premier institute for instructing American Girls with gifts and talents such as your child’s.
First, a little bit about our school:
The school is divided into two institutions, the Lower School, for grades 4-8, and the Upper School for grades 9-12. Lower School students are exposed to a variety of subjects meant to give them a broad knowledge base from which to select more specialized studies in the Upper School. All students receive instruction in English, mathematics, science, and social studies, in addition to a variety of other subjects such as astrology, magical compounding, fencing, debate, music, and transmutation. To illustrate, we have attached sample schedules.
4th Grade, any house:
11th Grade Walker house, academically inclined:
All students are sorted into one of six houses, Larson, Parkington, McIntire, Merriman, Montoya, and Walker based on their latent abilities and interests. These houses are your child’s school-year families. Although friendly competition is encouraged within the school, all students will adhere to the highest standards of behavior.
o House Larson specializes in magic as it pertains to the natural world. Students in this house excel in caring for creatures, nature manipulation, and shapeshifting into animal form.
o Parkington House students are exceptionally adept at magical devices, music, and oratory. Sung and spoken spells, as well as those stored in magical devices such as runestones, magical instruments and other such arcana are considered under the purview of this house.
o Transformation and travel magics are the specialties of the students of McIntire House. This includes broom riding and other travel aids, and the transmutation of one thing into another.
o Students in Merriman House are gifted in charms and spells of protection and defense. Many train in combat, both magical and mundane, so they may better protect those who cannot protect themselves.
o House Montoya is known as the House of Healers because so many of its students are dedicated to the healing arts. Potions, magical salves, and tinctures are a specialty of this house.
o Students in House Walker are true seekers of knowledge. This house comprises those of myriad interests, and a significant percentage have a talent for scrying, looking into the past, and predicting the future.
The school term begins September 1 and concludes June 30. All students board at the school. Winter break is the last two weeks in December through the first week of January. For the 2023-2024 school year, this will be December 17 through January 6. We offer a special summer session July 1-August 31 for those students who prefer to remain on campus during the official school break.
Again, welcome, and we look forward to seeing your child at the beginning of the term.
Sincerely, P.C. Washington, Headmistress

Just finished the last blouse and skirt. I’ll post more pics once I have shoes and socks for everyone, but it’s really late.

The Acceptance Letter: Tabitha
The party was in full swing when the doorbell rang.
“Tabby, honey, can you get that? It’s probably the pizzas,” Mom begged as sugared-up seven-year-old boys ran through the house in a pack, yelling. Mom was trying to navigate through the kitchen, past the dogs, with my brother’s birthday cake.
I had to really pull on the door because it liked to stick, our house being older than my grandma. When it finally opened, so fast I nearly lost my balance, there were no pizzas. There was just some lady with a package.
“Tabitha Danielle Crow?” she asked, staring at me. I was immediately wary, I had never met this person before, so how did she know my full name?
“Ye-es,” I said slowly, standing as far away from her as possible.
“This is for you,” she said, smiling brightly, and handed me the box. She immediately turned to go. She had just made it to the driveway when the pizza delivery showed up. It wasn’t until later that I realized I hadn’t seen any car for her, and we live half a mile from the nearest street.
I didn’t have time to do anything with the parcel until the gremlins went home. We were eating dinner (leftover pizza and cake) when my big sister Kendra picked it up. “What’s this? To Tabitha Danielle Crow, from the Innerstar School for the Gifted and Talented?” She waved the box around.
“Give it to me! It’s mine!” I roared, making a grab for it, but Kendra jumped up, holding it out of reach.
“I should probably open it for you, in case there are big words you don’t understand,” she teased. I chased her around the table, trying to snatch it back, but Kendra wouldn’t let go. She slid her finger under the flap to start tearing it open.
“You know, it’s a federal crime to steal someone else’s mail,” observed Aunt Candace quietly. (She was visiting for the party and was helping us clean up.) Kendra laughed and kept going, but stopped with a hiss, shaking her hand. She’d gotten a nasty paper cut.
“Serves you right,” I said, plucking the package from her hand. I studied the label. It had my full name, all right, but it wasn’t from the Innerstar School for the Gifted and Talented, it was from the Innerstar School of MAGIC. I looked up quickly, Kendra was sucking her cut finger and pouting, Dad and David had gone back to eating pizza like it was a race, Mom was cleaning and paying partial attention, and Aunt Candace was watching me like she was waiting for something. The box opened like it was waiting for me and I pulled out the letter.
“Dear Tabitha,” it read, “Congratulations on your selection to attend Innerstar School of Magic. We are pleased to welcome you to the Innerstar family and look forward to your attendance in the upcoming school year. All our students are placed in different family houses, and you will be a member of McIntire house. Enclosed you will find instructions on how to report to our campus, a list of school supplies, and your uniform. See you September first!”
I couldn’t speak. Did I really just get accepted into a magic school? “No way,” I finally managed. “No freakin’ way.”
I handed the letter to Mom, and she scanned it quickly. I expected some kind of reaction to the word “magic,” but it was like she didn’t even see it. “Mike, did you sign Tabby up for this?” she asked.
Dad shook his head. “I’ve never even heard of any school called Innerstar. Didn’t Kendra say it was for the gifted and talented?”
“Oh, you know, I went there,” chimed in Aunt Candace. It’s a very good school, and extremely difficult to get in.”
Mom nodded. “Apparently she’s been accepted to attend their…boarding school…in New York.”
I blinked. The letter hadn’t said anything about boarding school or New York. A magic boarding school, far away from my annoying brother and sister? Pinch me, I’m dreaming!

The magic school idea is so cute! is there info on the houses/lore anywhere?
At this point, mostly in my head, and @agrosehamada's. I'm developing the lore as fast as I can, but sometimes I have to let it sit and marinate a bit. I'm hoping to come out with a few (very) short stories to explain it a bit.

Lilias says "hello!"
Lilias (Lily) Joan Gordon is originally from Glasgow, but moved to the US last year when her father's job relocated their family. She recently received her acceptance letter from Innerstar School of Magic, and has been getting everything ready.
She was actually named for one of the last (alleged) witches in Scotland, just prior to @agrosehamada mentioning the whole magic school thing, so she seemed like a good candidate. A couple of her friends will also be attending, but probably in different houses.
She's wearing a couple of prototype uniform pieces, and I'm about to start on my third blazer of the day. I also have a couple more skirts I'm intending to make, maybe this weekend.
I've wanted a TM 21 for over a year now, and I finally found one for a good deal. Her hair was so, so bad, so I sent her to the doll hospital and she came back with pink ribbons in her hair. I'm a little undecided on the eyebrows though. On the one hand, they're heavier than I intended, but on the other they give her face character.

My niece is into Hello Kitty, primarily Kuromi, so I made a doll costume for her AG to dress up. I used patterns for the onesie and hat, but had to freehand the collar, tail, ears and skeleton patch.
I went to 3 different stores and none of them had black felt (!) so I had to make-do with the "heathered charcoal" I already had. They also had no pink felt, so I ended up making the little skeleton patch with hot pink puffy paint and a black sharpie.
I lined the hat with Hello Kitty fabric, and now I have over 200 pink and black pompoms I have no idea what to do with. If I had multicolored ones, at least I'd be able to make a gumball machine costume.
And now, back to making my Innerstar School of Magic uniforms!

Sorry it's been a little slow on content content guys--I've started my Christmas present making grind early ^^; Most of the stuff isn't complete yet, but here are three of the plushies I've made: Billy, Monica, and Tommy from WandaVision! Three plushies down--seven more and a custom AG doll to go!
(I swear Innerstar School of Magic (name pending?) hasn't been dropped, @futuristicsaladparadise and I have been talking ideas!!! I've just got to get through my workload and a Good Omens cosplay Rose and then hopefully I can start on uniforms! That will hopefully give me time to order and get the fabric--and sort my kiddos into houses XD)

I think I'm going to give myself a little break after going through two pretty labor intensive series of projects to work on some more lowkey outfits before diving into the Innerstar School of Magic uniforms. They are definitely still on the project list, don't worry!!! Just giving myself a little bit of a mental break before starting on another big project ^^;
